A drawing worked up in watercolour of a warm night wandering the streets of Tokyo. It really is one of my favourite cities - a mercurial mix of new and ancient with alleyways of neon tenderly embracing tiny local shrines.  Sketching at night is never easy so sometimes the best thing to do is take some basic drawings and notes then work up details from photographs later.  This small painting (12 x 14 cms) was commissioned by a private client.
